Alan from jungle wanted to do some more recording but we decided to add these new tracks that id found in the vaults.. i still wouldn't release the 12" mixes till i could do it properly..
Its my planet a play on "its my party" and was a slow spacey kinda number Johnson Somerset played in a lot of the keyboards and Dan Donovan from BAD also helped out.
The front cover photo is from the very first proper session we did.. i remember it was for free with a young photographer Russel Young who was just starting out and had borrowed a studio in the east end near Tower Bridge.. we all trouped out there late at night after watching Escape from New York on video and that was the look!.. the photographer is famous and expensive now.. its one of the only pictures of Tj without Dark glasses on!
The inner sleeve features the classic sputnik shot by Derek Ridgers of that space gang in a subway- that shot captures the true vision of the band.. we never bettered it!
Note how Yana Ya Ya never appears in any of the pictures.. a perverse notion i had of having a beautiful girl in the band who never got photographed unlike every other group who would have her at the front! is this genius or what?
